I keep on hearing from people that nobody's on Google+, with comments like: "Google what?, is Google+ still around?, Google+ is dead... nobody's on it". I often wonder where these people get these extreme ideas. I mean, I know I have my fair share of extreme ideas but when something's right in front of you, it's kind of hard to deny or say otherwise. I personally use Google+ on a daily basis. I really love it actually. I still use Facebook and Twitter a bit but I could really live without them now that Google+ exists. I've determined that it's the closed-minded negativity certain people have for Google+ which prevents them from actually getting on there, adding people to their Circles and being added to others'. If you don't have anyone sharing anything with you, sure, it may seem a bit dead. But even if nobody has put you in a Circle to share with, you can still see what others nearby are saying, find new people by searching for particular topics, or simply follow interesting people and read whatever they share publicly. So basically what I'm rambling on about is that Google+ isn't dead. In fact, it's the exact opposite. With over 60 million users, I'd say it's less than a year from catching up with FB and Twitter, depending on if Google successfully integrates their other popular products or not. I have high hopes for them and think they can pull it off! |
